On 27 September 2026, Qaafiya Bazm-e-Adab reached another beautiful milestone in its journey. The Qaafiya Poetry Open Mic – 49th Show came alive at Studio Seven in Andheri West, where words took the shape of feelings and shayarionce again touched every heart in the room.
Forty-nine shows in, the spirit of the mehfil is as fresh as ever. This was one more evening where adab found its stage and its listeners.
About Qaafiya Poetry Open Mic
Qaafiya Poetry Open Mic is a regular gathering by Qaafiya Bazm-e-Adab, a Mumbai-based literary circle founded by Meem Jeem Ansari and Irfan Shaikh. It offers an open stage to anyone who carries words in their heart, from first-time poets to seasoned ustaad shayar.
Each show is built on one idea that sits at the centre of the Bazm's identity: Jahan Alfaaz Milte Hain Ehsaas Se, where words meet emotions. Urdu, Hindi and every voice in between are welcome here.
An Evening Where Words Became Feelings
The 49th show was another reminder of why the open mic format matters. Poets and performers stepped up one after another, sharing ghazal, nazm, free verse and personal pieces that came straight from lived experience.
Some words made the room smile, some made it fall silent, and some stayed with listeners long after the mic was passed on. As the evening went on, the adab ki mehfil came together once again in its truest form.
Thank You to Our Poets and Ustaad Shayar
Every show is shaped by the people who take the stage. Qaafiya Bazm-e-Adab offers its heartfelt thanks to every shayar, poet and performer who shared their words at the 49th show.
A special word of gratitude goes to the ustaad shayar who joined us. Their presence guides younger voices, keeps the tradition alive and gives each open mic its depth and dignity.
Our Audience, Our Greatest Strength
A poem is only complete when someone listens to it. The audience at Studio Seven did more than listen: they responded with warmth, daad and encouragement that lifted every performer.
Your love, your affection and your trust are the greatest strength of Qaafiya Bazm-e-Adab's journey. Every show you attend and every word you applaud keeps this mehfil going.
49 Shows Completed, the Story Continues
Forty-nine shows are a proud milestone, but the story is far from over. The mehfil continues, the words continue, and Qaafiya's journey continues with them.
